The ancient Chinese practice of Reflexology, a manual therapy focusing on the feet. For 3,000 years Chinese practitioners have used Reflexology to re-balance Qi (the life force flowing through energy channels) to treat a number of conditions.
Reflexology uses special finger/thumb manipulations to stimulate reflex points, which will encourage the flow of energy to the corresponding body part. This gradually helps to restore homoeostasis (balance) and stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself, physically and emotionally.
There are many benefits to this practice. Reflexology can assist in such conditions as:
• Back Problems Sciatica
• Blood Pressure
• Frozen Shoulder
• Hay Fever
• Neck Problems
• Stress Disorders
• Hormone Imbalance
• Knee Problems
Reflexology is a 1 hour appointment and it is usually recommended that you have a course of 6 treatments on a weekly basis. The treatment is very relaxing and you should allow your body the time to heal after the treatment so you should avoid any strenuous exercise, heavy meals and alcohol after the treatment.
”I have been a qualified reflexologist, aromatherapist and massage therapist for 25 years and ran my own practise in Newcastle for 19 years. After relocating to the West Midlands, I am now working at JKH Healthcare.
I truly believe that reflexology and massage therapy play an important part in peoples well being and I find it very rewarding delivering the treatments and seeing people benefitting from the results.
